Food, Uncomplicated

Hi, I'm Anna and I see you.
As a busy mom of three navigating perimenopause, I understand firsthand the challenges women face during this transition. It’s a season of intense hormonal and emotional shifts—but also a beautiful opportunity to rediscover your body. I combine evidence-based nutrition with realistic, sustainable behavior change to help you truly feel better.
Overcome Nutrition Noise
Dismantle Diet Culture
Optimize Your Health
About Me
Hi, I’m Anna Strano, a registered dietitian/nutritionist and founder of Strano Nutrition, a telehealth nutrition practice specializing in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. What makes my approach different is that I focus not just on symptom management or weight, but on helping women optimize their health so they can feel strong, energized, and in control of their health for the next 30+ years of life
Since 2011, I have been practicing as a registered dietitian/nutritionist and have helped clients navigate everything from pre-diabetes and cardiovascular health to weight management (including bariatric surgery and GLP-1s) and cancer diagnoses.
While my clinical background is deep, my passion is personal. I’m here to empower women navigating perimenopause and menopause. I believe these years aren’t something to just "survive"—they are the ultimate opportunity to recalibrate and set the stage for a vibrant, healthy second half of life. I'll help you cut through the nutrition noise so that together, we can build a personalized strategy—ignoring the fads to focus entirely on the science of your evolving body.

A Science-Backed Roadmap
Nutrition that actually moves the needle. Nutrition has a massive impact on this transition, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I will help you cut through the "nutrition noise" on social media and ignore the latest fad diets. I use evidence-based science to help manage: energy levels, digestive changes, elevated cholesterol, insulin resistance, and bone health. Working together, we will make a plan that can incorporate foods you already eat and enjoy.
Food Over Diet Culture

The "No-BS" Philosophy
Why we leave diet culture behind. I’ve seen time and time again how cookie-cutter diets fail and leave women feeling defeated. There is no one-size-fits-all plan here. I don't believe in food shaming or restriction; I believe in empowerment. This is a space where women are seen and heard—not pushed to the side—as we foster a positive, sustainable relationship with food that lasts for the next 30 years.
Nutrition That Helps

What to Expect When We Work Together
You can expect a shame-free zone where we focus on progress, not perfection. We’ll build a plan that survives your real, busy life—from happy hours to family dinners. You can expect radical honesty, clear explanations of your metabolism, and someone in your corner who will help you recalibrate without judgment whenever life gets messy.

I initially went to Anna just to see if I was eating "right," but she went so much deeper. She did a total dive into my history, and I could tell immediately how passionate she is about helping women. We uncovered my real food struggles and built a plan that actually fits my life. Her zero-BS, zero food-shaming, and 100% real-talk approach is such a breath of fresh air. She breaks down the science of my hormones and metabolism in a way that finally makes sense. I feel empowered, not restricted.
Maria T.
For the first time in years, I feel like myself again. Anna didn’t just give me a meal plan; she gave me my confidence back. I finally understand my body and feel empowered to take care of it. Her honest, science-based approach was exactly what I needed to cut through the constant noise on social media. I didn't realize how much of what I’m doing now determines my health for the next 30 years, but I now have the clarity and the tools to navigate my wellness journey with total ease.
Jennifer L.
Anna made it so easy to understand how a few lifestyle shifts can drastically decrease my risk of osteoporosis, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. I didn't realize how much my current habits impact my health for the next few decades, but her guidance turned that overwhelm into action. Her no-nonsense expertise was exactly what I needed to ignore the trends and focus on what works. It is such a relief to finally have a sustainable plan that I can actually stick to. Thanks, Anna!

Everything You Want to Know
No question is too small. Here are the ones I hear most often.
Everything You Want to Know
No question is too small. Here are the ones I hear most often.
Do you take insurance?
The short answer: No, I do not participate in insurance networks. The why: I’ve found that the constraints of the insurance model often get in the way of the deep, transformational work we do here. Insurance companies frequently dictate how many minutes we can speak, how many times per year we can meet, and what specific "medical diagnoses" we are allowed to discuss. By stepping outside of that system, I can provide a concierge-level experience: - No "Session Caps": We meet based on your progress, not an arbitrary number decided by a claims adjuster. - Between-Session Access: You can text or message me for help with food questions and/or mindset shifts - something insurance rarely covers. - Total life integration: We focus on the how and the why of eating, hormonal shifts, and lifestyle integration, rather than just checking boxes for a clinical diagnosis.
Are sessions virtual or in person?
All sessions are 100% virtual. We meet via secure, high-quality and HIPAA compliant video conferencing, allowing you to connect from anywhere you feel most comfortable.
What is the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
The easiest way to remember it is this: all Registered Dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are Registered Dietitians. It comes down to education, legal regulation, and medical authority. Registered Dietitians (RDNs) are food and nutrition experts who have met strict academic and professional requirements, including an intensive internship and a national board exam. Because of this, we are legally recognized health professionals. "Nutritionist" is a much broader, unregulated title. While some nutritionists have advanced degrees in science, others may have very little formal training.
Do I need to follow a strict diet?
Not at all. My approach is flexible and sustainable. We focus on making small, manageable changes that fit your lifestyle, so you can feel your best without feeling restricted.
Will you create a personalized plan for me?
Yes. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every nutrition plan we create is completely tailored to your unique goals, health history, lifestyle, food preferences, and cultural background.
Can I work with you if I have other health conditions?
Yes, absolutely. As a Registered Dietitian, I'm clinically trained to help women navigate a wide range of health conditions. Whether you're managing pre-diabetes, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a cancer diagnosis, or weight concerns, I'm here to support you.
How do I prepare for my first session?
Once we set an appointment day and time, please fill out all the forms you will receive via email. If you have any recent labs and/or a list of medications please provide those as attachments.
Do you provide ongoing support between sessions?
Yes! I believe support shouldn't stop when our session ends. I offer email support between sessions so you can ask questions as they arise, share updates on your progress, or get quick guidance when you need it. You're never alone on this journey.
What do the letters after your name mean?
Those credentials represent my academic training and specialized expertise. Here is exactly what they stand for: MS (Master of Science): This is my advanced graduate degree in nutrition. RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist): This is my national credential. It means I have completed rigorous university coursework, over 1,200 hours of a supervised clinical residency, and passed a national board exam. LD (Licensed Dietitian): This is my state license to practice legally in Georgia. CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist): This is a national specialty certification. It proves I have advanced, cutting-edge knowledge in metabolic health, blood sugar management, and insulin resistance.
